I am primarily a soft pastel landscape artist, but I also create with pan pastels, graphite, and charcoal. I work on a variety of papers and a variety of subjects. My work is impressionistic and realistic and I love to incorporate the play of light in my work. I am a prolific painter, do commissioned work, and create for my own pleasure.
My studio is indeed my happy place. I am inspired by the beauty of nature and my family. My subjects include portraiture, landscapes, flowers and birds.
Painting is aways a journey and I get emotionally connected to the work I’m creating. This journey can go from excitement and joy to frustration and even worship, all in the same piece.
It is my goal that you will connect to my work in a way that speaks to you, makes it your story, or says take me there!
My entrance into the world of art was inspired by a God encounter in 2014. It is understandable then that painting gives me joy, peace and is ultimately a form of worship for me.
